Tsukihime

Tsukihime is the most famous and best seller dojin game ever in Japan. Created by TYPE-MOON non-comercially and became popular very fast. Will adapted to animation in this year. If you know Melty Blood, you might recognize the blonde woman in the picture at left; she is Arcueid. Melty blood is a sequel to Tsukihime. Melty Blood includes the story mode where you supposed to read many Japanese texts. For most non-Japanese speakers this is not fun. But many Japanese, including me, bought this game for the story mode. This is because the story line of Tsukihime is really good.

If you want this game, Himeya soft list Tsukihime, Tsukihime plus disc (expansion disc), Kagetsu Tohya (a sequel to Tsukihime) and Melty Blood. Check Adult > Dojin section.(At 03/03/2003, Tsukihime and Kagetsu Tohya are sold out. They are sold out in Japan,too.)
But, you have to be VERY good at Japanese to enjoy this game; it's a basically novel written in Japanese. And I don't think English translation is/will be available.

Round Robe ,a subsidiary company of Pioneer will produce Tsukihime anime.
But, virtually no information is available at now. I don't know even whether it will be broadcasted as TV or sold as OVA. Or I don't know whether it will be H anime or not.
The original Tsukihime game contain many violence and some pornographic scenes. Also many supernatural things (vampires, magic, religious material) are included though this isn't problematic in Japan.
So, I think OAV is more likely, but I don't know.

Tsukihime anime will be broadcasted at BS-i in this fall.
Official titile is "Shingetsutan Tsukihime", this mean riterally "tales of true moon, moon princess".

I know some (or many) people are interested in story line of Melty Blood. I want to tell you it, but translating it is far beyond my English, so I will write more background things.
